Frontend Engineer

Aditya Birla Capital Limited (ABCL)

Aditya Birla Capital

Aditya Birla Capital is one of India's largest financial services conglomerates, offering 22 distinct financial products across insurance, lending, wealth management, and advisory services. As a frontend engineer on their digital platform team, I was responsible for building and optimizing the consumer-facing web experience that unified these products under a single ecosystem.

Project Overview

  • Role: Frontend Engineer
  • Client: Aditya Birla Capital
  • Stack: React.js, TailwindCSS, Sitecore Headless
CHALLENGE

The problem we solved

The platform suffered from severe performance issues with page load times exceeding 15 seconds on slow connections. Each of the 22 financial products had its own disjointed interface, creating a fragmented user experience. The legacy CMS architecture made content updates slow and engineering-intensive.

SOLUTION

How we approached it

Led a comprehensive frontend optimization initiative that reduced bundle sizes through code splitting, implemented lazy loading for below-fold content, and optimized image delivery. Migrated the 'ABC of Money' blog platform from a legacy CMS to Sitecore Headless, enabling content editors to publish independently. Built a unified design system with reusable React components that maintained consistency across all 22 product interfaces.

OUTCOMES

Results delivered

Reduced page load times from 15s to under 3s through aggressive optimization

Unified 22 financial products under a single consistent interface
Enabled non-technical content editors to publish independently
Implemented gamification features that increased user engagement metrics
